Strictly Come Dancing 2026 has said goodbye to its second celebrity contestant after Melanie Walters and professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec were eliminated following the Week 3 dance-off.
Walters faced former England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips and his professional partner Alexis Warr after the public vote placed both couples in danger.
Judges split over the dance-off
Shaun and Alexis repeated their Quickstep, while Melanie and Aljaz performed their Charleston again. Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas chose to save Shaun and Alexis, while Motsi Mabuse backed Melanie and Aljaz.
Anton Du Beke cast the deciding vote in favor of Shaun and Alexis, ending Walters’ run in the competition. Walters said she was proud of taking part and pleased to have enjoyed another week despite her nerves.
Delta Goodrem tops the leaderboard
Elsewhere in Week 3, Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington led the standings with 33 points for their Salsa and earned the first score of nine of the 2026 series.
Thirteen couples remain as the competition moves toward Icons Week on October 17.
