Coronation Street Puts Sarah Platt’s Trial at Center of Dramatic Courtroom Episode

Coronation Street is putting Sarah Platt’s legal battle at the center of a dramatic new episode as Todd Grimshaw faces a crucial decision about whether to testify.

In the October 15 episode, Todd initially struggles to enter the courtroom and confront the situation. Tyrone Dobbs pushes him to reconsider, arguing that both Todd and Sarah need the truth to be heard.

Todd takes the stand

As the prosecution intensifies its case against Sarah, Todd ultimately arrives and gives evidence in her defense. His testimony becomes a major turning point in an episode built around the pressure of the court proceedings and the personal history connecting the characters.

Bethany Platt is also drawn deeper into the situation. She urges Kit Green to support Sarah, emphasizing the impact the case is having on the wider family and particularly on Harry.

Debbie grows suspicious of Ronnie

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Debbie Webster becomes suspicious when Ronnie Bailey says he is heading to a meeting. She asks Abi to keep an eye on him, only for Abi to see Ronnie embracing another woman.

Ronnie later explains that the woman is connected to his support group. Abi encourages him to tell Debbie the truth before the situation gets worse, but Ronnie is reluctant to do so.

Toyah confronts Leanne

The episode also moves the Bistro storyline forward as Toyah confronts Leanne over what she believes is a plan involving Idris to damage the business and eventually buy it at a reduced price.

With the courtroom story, Debbie’s suspicions and the Bistro conflict unfolding at the same time, the episode continues several of the soap’s major autumn storylines while placing Sarah and Todd’s legal drama at the center.
