Kylie Jenner is preparing for the biggest scripted acting role of her career, taking the lead in a new Hulu thriller currently titled Bachelorette Weekend.
Jenner is set to star in and executive produce the murder-mystery drama, with her sister Kim Kardashian also attached as an executive producer. The project represents a significant move into scripted television for Jenner after years of reality TV and business ventures.
What is Bachelorette Weekend about?
The thriller centers on a bride-to-be who is found dead in a swimming pool during her bachelorette getaway. Her closest friends become suspects, and the story retraces the events surrounding the trip to uncover what happened.
Jenner is expected to play the murdered bride, making her character the central figure around which the mystery unfolds. The series is based on an unpublished novel by Flora Collins and was developed for television by author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver.
Kylie Jenner expands into acting
Although Jenner has appeared on screen for years through Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Life of Kylie and The Kardashians, Bachelorette Weekend is positioned as her first major scripted starring role.
She previously made smaller appearances, including a cameo in Charli XCX’s The Moment, as well as earlier film and voice work. The Hulu project now gives her a substantially larger dramatic assignment.
Kardashian has also been expanding her own scripted entertainment work, making the sisters’ collaboration particularly notable. Jenner, Kardashian, Oliver and Kapital Entertainment are among the executive producers attached to the project.
A premiere date and full cast have not yet been announced.
