Shia LaBeouf is sharing his side of his arrest story.
In case you haven’t heard, the 39-year-old actor was arrested and charged with two counts of battery in New Orleans following a fight outside of a bar. He was in town for Mardi Gras.

Well, in a new interview with Andrew Callaghan‘s Channel 5, the Disturbia star says he’s “not into” the idea of going back to rehab.
“My behavior, I gotta deal with that. Does that mean I gotta go to rehab again? I’m just not into it, bro. I don’t think my answers are there. I don’t. I really, genuinely, don’t. If I genuinely did, I’d go. I don’t think I have a drinking problem,” he said.
However, he admits to having a “different problem,” saying he thinks he has a “small man complex,” also known as a Napoleon complex.
Merriam Webster defines it as someone with a “domineering or aggressive attitude perceived as a form of overcompensation for being physically small or short.”
He continued, “I think it’s something that has to do with anger and ego more so than my drinking, but that’s where I’m at now on my journey, and I’m trying to navigate it. I’ll figure it out.”
As for what prompted his most recent altercation, the actor claims that he was in a situation where three gay men started touching his leg.
“I’ll be honest with you, big gay people are scary to me,” he said. “I’m like, standing by myself and three gay dudes are next to me, touching my leg, I get scared. I’m sorry if that’s homophobic. Then I’m that.”
But he did ultimately acknowledge that things should not have come to blows.
“I am wrong for touching anyone ever. And that’s the end of my statement on this whole shit,” Shia said.
Earlier this month, the news broke that he and Mia Goth had split. Shia was recently seen kissing a mystery woman.
