Mariah Carey is MusiCares’ 2026 Person of the Year!
The legendary songstress was the center of attention at the annual gala held ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards on Friday night (January 30) at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The goal of the event is to honor Mariah for her “extraordinary creative achievements and dedication to philanthropic causes, while raising vital funds to support the health and well-being of the music community,” per the official website.

Performers for the 2026 gala were previously announced: Kesha, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, Billy Porter, John Legend, Laufey, Charlie Puth, Maggie Rogers, Foo Fighters, Teddy Swims, Taylor Momsen, and a DJ set by Jermaine Dupri.
