Florence Pugh and Finn Cole have taken a major public step in their relationship, making their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the 70th BFI London Film Festival.
The pair attended the world premiere of In the Shadows at Vue West End in London, where Cole appears in the film alongside Jasmine Jobson. The drama is inspired by the story of Ramla Ali, the British-Somali boxer who became the first Muslim woman to win an English amateur boxing title.
A milestone moment for Florence Pugh and Finn Cole
Pugh and Cole have kept much of their relationship away from the spotlight, which made the London appearance particularly notable. Pugh wore a lavender corseted gown from Wiederhoeft’s Spring 2027 collection, while Cole opted for a black suit with a blue-striped shirt and black tie.
The actors, both 30, were first publicly linked in 2024. Pugh later spoke about being in a relationship in an interview with British Vogue, while the couple became more open about their romance during 2026.
Busy careers for both stars
The appearance came during a busy period for Pugh, whose recent and upcoming projects include Netflix’s East of Eden, Dune: Part Three and a planned adaptation of Matt Haig’s bestselling novel The Midnight Library.
Cole, known to many viewers for Peaky Blinders, is now promoting In the Shadows. The film puts him at the center of another high-profile British production as the London Film Festival continues its 2026 program.
The couple’s decision to walk the carpet together marks their most visible public appearance yet and confirms that their relationship has moved into a more public phase after years of relative privacy.
