Heidi Klum Takes Daughter Lou to Paris Fashion Week for Rare Mother-Daughter Debut

Heidi Klum turned Paris Fashion Week into a special mother-daughter milestone by bringing her youngest daughter, Lou Sulola Samuel, to the Vivienne Westwood show for the teenager’s first major fashion-week appearance.

Lou, 16, joined her supermodel mother in Paris just days before her 17th birthday on October 9. Klum described the trip as an early birthday present, making the outing both a family celebration and a notable introduction to the fashion world for a daughter who has generally stayed away from the spotlight.

Lou made her fashion-week debut alongside Heidi Klum

The pair attended the Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2027 show on October 3. Klum wore a polished cream-toned ensemble built around a fitted blazer and long skirt, while Lou chose a more youthful pink acid-wash denim look with statement platform shoes.

The coordinated-but-distinct styling allowed Lou to establish her own look while appearing beside one of fashion’s most recognizable figures. They also attended the BoF 500 Gala during the trip, extending Lou’s first experience of the international fashion-week circuit beyond a single front-row appearance.

Klum has said that Vivienne Westwood and creative director Andreas Kronthaler are close to her heart, making the show a particularly meaningful choice for Lou’s first Paris fashion moment.

A rare public appearance for Klum and Seal’s youngest daughter

Lou is the youngest daughter of Klum and her former husband Seal. Unlike older sister Leni Klum, who has pursued modeling and built a public fashion profile of her own, Lou has largely grown up outside the entertainment industry’s daily spotlight.

That made the Paris appearance especially noticeable. Rather than presenting the teenager as an established model or celebrity, the outing was framed as a family experience and a chance for Lou to explore fashion on her own terms.

Klum is also mother to Leni, Henry and Johan. Several of her children have begun making occasional appearances in fashion, but she has often spoken about allowing them to find their own paths rather than assuming they will follow her career.

Paris Fashion Week becomes a family milestone

Celebrity children were a visible presence throughout the latest Paris Fashion Week, with several famous families attending shows or making runway appearances. Lou’s debut stood out because of how rarely she has appeared publicly compared with some other celebrity children.

For Klum, the occasion appeared to be less about launching a formal career and more about sharing a world she knows intimately with her daughter. The timing, just before Lou’s birthday, reinforced that personal element.

Whether Lou eventually pursues modeling remains her decision. For now, her Paris debut offered a carefully chosen first step into a highly public fashion environment—with her mother beside her for the experience.
